About Ohio Safe Gun & Lessons Learned
OhioSafeGun is owned and operated by Lessons Learned Training and Consulting LLC. Lessons learned is a Dayton Ohio based training company who instructs on a wide variety of subjects, all of which are not necessarily related.
Harold Jones is the owner of Lessons Learned and is a professional trainer and International speaker in a variety of subjects as well as being a private investigator who owns Tech Evidence Inc. He is also a full time police supervisor in the state of Ohio. He is completing a Masters degree in Management. He has over 25 years in law enforcement as a police officer inclusive of being a road officer, detective, trainer, and first line supervisor.
Your instructor will be a certified NRA instructor in “Basic Pistol”, “Personal Protection in the Home”, “First Steps” and “Refuse to be a Victim”, all of which are NRA based courses. He is also a State of Ohio Certified Police Instructor and teaches TASERS to civilians upon request. He instructs in classes nation wide on computer crime investigations and online child exploitation. He has trained agents of the FBI, Secret Service, US Customs, numerous District Attorney Organizations, and various other law enforcement agencies as well as being an expert witness in federal court on white collar crimes.
Lessons learned can arrange professional training for large or small groups and will do public speaking for on a variety of safety related issues ranging from Women’s Safety courses to entire programs on Internet Safety, Fraud, and Online Child Exploitation Investigations for law enforcement officers and legal professionals. We also teach TASER Use for Civilians, and of course NRA related courses. We also speak for civic groups and school organizations. If we do not have a qualified speaker for your group we will find one for you as we belong to a world wide network of professional speakers and trainers. We also welcome female students and have female instructors on staff to put our female students at ease.
PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED STUDENTS- Upon request we will also instruct physically handicapped students in the NRA Basic Pistol course and offer assistance for them to acquire their Ohio CCW permits. Each student in this category must be able to safely operate, load, fire, and unload a handgun and have no mental or visual impairment that is so great as to prohibit successful completion of the required course material. A student in this category must inform the instructor before class if special arrangements are to be made for accommodations. We believe the handicapped have a right to have a CCW permit and will do our best to assist them in this endeavor.
Each class will have a minimum required number of students to be announced by the class instructor upon advertising and registration.
